Public insight.
Private operations.
The public interface reads selected monitoring values only. Full operational status, command traffic and acknowledgements remain separated behind authenticated Firebase paths.
/smartwell/public_live
Read-only public monitoring fields. No device credentials and no write controls.
/smartwell/private_live
Full operational state reserved for an approved administrator UID.
/smartwell/commands
Locked until Security Rules and ESP32 command validation are commissioned.
/smartwell/command_status
Device acknowledgements for Pending, Accepted, Executing, Completed, Failed or Expired states.
Administrator control dashboard
Approved Firebase administrators can operate the monitored valves remotely. Every command is validated by Firebase Security Rules and re-checked by the ESP32 safety interlocks before physical actuation.
A civil engineering system with a digital nervous system.
SmartWell is a final-year project exploring managed rainwater recharge as a practical response to urban flooding and groundwater stress.
The experimental setup uses a transparent 5-mm acrylic tank, graded filter media, a geotextile-wrapped perforated pipe and a three-foot storage chamber.
Its contribution is sensor-led monitoring and motorized control, with water quality checked at entry and storage and discharge conditions observed in real time.
